The battery was naked without the plastic tamperproof packaging that I expected leading me to wonder if I bought a used battery that might have been removed from another telephone. The battery I received had very slight scratching but it accepted a charge and worked properly. I cannot tell if this battery would have worked long term as I recently upgraded to an iPhone.
