(More customer reviews)I normally don't have a problem getting through a day or most of a day with my Nexus one. In a 'normal' day, I'm also usually near a charger or desk dock much of the time, so it ends up on there. No real issues with the battery there. But when I'm traveling, things get more complex. I bought this for a convention I was attending/working at, where I expected to be away from chargers all day and using the phone heavily, web use during downtimes and phone when I was coordinating with others. The stock battery (or Seidio's 1600mah, which I also have, and is less worth it, another story that...) wouldn't make it at all. So I ordered this up.
The results were incredible - It made it through two and a half days of my normal usage, getting down to about 25%. After a day of very heavy usage at the convention, I barely got below 50%, and this with fairly draining things like GPS use and heavy web browsing. All I needed was a top up every night and I was good to go. It's a fantastic thing for travel.
The back, as others have said, *is* the weak point. It does feel a little flimsy, but I don't think it's that much worse than the stock back. It certainly hasn't broken or come off in my use. Obviously, the bulge all along the back will preclude desk or car dock use while it's on, so be aware of that. The really annoying part is that apertures for the camera, speakerphone and flash are all uncovered - no plastic or fabric screens. The inside of my phone did get rather dusty while using this, and I felt I had to be careful with the camera lens - probably not too necessary as with the back it's surrounded by a 1/4" or so raised lip and barely finger-accessible. These flaws keep it from being a 5-star product.
I wouldn't use this every day, it's a bit... much. But if I'm traveling or even going out for a day trip? This is almost invaluable.
