Seidio has always created high quality cases that do what they are supposed to do, and this case does not let you down. The packaging it comes in is really cheap for how much you pay, but hey, companies have to make money also. It was extremely easy putting the case on and everything snapped into place right away.
The case itself feels very good and does not give a cheap plastic feel like the ones you can buy from Verizon. It gives a strong grip that will make it very hard to drop when you are holding it in your hands. The case feels very natural, like it was actually part of the phone. Every port and button on the phone is open, and are all easy to get to, though with some buttons requiring you to get used to the snug fit of the case. Out of every case I've seen so far for the droid x, this is by far much higher quality than all the others, and should last for easily two years.
The drop protection for this case is designed more for those five inch drops you do on a table. This will protect against those occasional four foot drops, but do not expect anything amazing since this is not Seidio's all around protection case for the droid x. If you you are only looking for drop protection and do not care about the thickness of the case, then consider Seidio's Active case line which will give about double the protection for large drops. But this case does protect the camera from scratching onto what ever you are resting the phone on, which is a very nice feature.
Now there was one, slightly two, annoyances I had with this case. The main one was the fact that I have about two or three small plastic bubbles on the case. This is very common for this type of plastic, so it was nothing I was overly alarmed about. These bubbles are more aesthetically displeasing than they are physically. If your case does unfortunately come with these small bubbles, do not worry, you will not feel them at all. I do not even realize they are there if it were not for the fact that I can see them. The other annoyance is not really only for this case, but all cell phone cases in general. Small pieces of dirt can and will eventually get trapped under the snug fit of the case on to the phone. This is nothing to worry about, since it takes two seconds to clean this dirt out every few weeks or so.
Between every case out there for the droid x, this is the one I would recommend because of its high quality build and the fact it does what it says it does. If you are still looking for a case for your droid x, or you are mad at the one you bought at Verizon, then buy this case. You will not regret it, and it will make you a much more happier person when you do not have to worry about the safety of your phone.
