Silicone inner sleeve combined with the acrylic shell provide a moderate level of protection to the Droid X without adding any bulk or weight. I took a chance on the black/red case and am very happy I did. It adds a little pizzazz to the case, frames the screen nicely and distinguishes it from other lesser cases. I've read in some forums that you have to be a little careful when removing the acrylic back. It fits the silicone sleeve so well that it sticks to it a bit if it's been on the phone for an extended time and some people have cracked the acrylic part...but Incipio has stood by their product and replaced them free of charge...so good customer service too. I just remove it carefully from the bottom which is a little thicker than the top because of the camera and volume rocker openings. This was my fifth case purchase and this one I'm sticking with...highly recommended!!!
