After charging, it automatically gets drained filling up and maintaining your iPhone battery on 100%. The problem here is that you might just get your iPhone batteries fried. It is constantly charging it even when if has reached 100%. You can't turn it off.
Once while using it. My 3GS came out with a message on the screen. Acsessory not compatible with iPhone. It just happened once.
If it had a on and off switch i would have been better since you know you have an extra power to recharge your iPhone once your built in battery is drained.
Without it, you are carrying a thick battery pack only to realize it is already empty at the time you need a charge.
