VERY stylish as you come to expect from this company, designed for use with the new iPhones, but will pair with ANY Bluetooth device you have, and is backward compatible to version 1.1
What functions you get to use with the Moshi Moshi 03i depends on your phone.
Hand set and base looks good on the desk, might take a bit of time to get used to the feel of the shape when up to your ear though. Nothing bad, just a bit different feel at first BUT is much better than holding your little cell phone up to your ear. Plus if you are worried about microwave danger to your head, units like this will cut that down to almost nil
Listening/speaker end is opposite end from the charge pins and toward the cord end of the base... hand piece design lets you have it upside down without knowing it, both ends look the same from the back. Will also allow you to place it in the base wrong way around so you'll get no charge if not careful.
AC adapter comes with a novel "insert" way to use any of the plug adapters that let it use whatever AC power plugs you have in any country, comes with all of them in the box and has a long six foot cord.
Thought it was not charging at first, but note a change in the hardware that makes the instruction book wrong about where you will see the white LED blinking when it is on charge, the LED is on the back of the hand set and not on the base as it says it is. Nice touch that the LED is under the plastic so you don't feel it in your hand.
Paired with my phone very quickly first try and without any need to read past the quick reference card. The 03i will memorize up to 4 paired devices and can connect with two at a time if needed.
Don't let the thickness of the owners book scare you... it repeats languages every 20 pages so there isn't that much you need to read to see all the features of the unit.
Sound is pretty good, could use a bit more volume on max setting, but can hear and be heard just like a wired phone for the most part.
Range seems to be the same as most Bluetooth items and the hand set will cut off when out of range and reconnect when back in. Wish they could get more range with the better sound these days.
3.5mm plug in the base lets you use external speakers to use your iPhone as MP3 player when it's plugged in to the base.
The 03i will pair with Bluetooth on a PC for talking on Skype or whatever software/service you use for Internet phone calls if your PC/Notebook is equipped for BlueTooth.
Also comes with 34 inch long USB cord to synchronize the iPhone with your computer but booklet states this will NOT charge you Moshi Moshi or iPhone.
