- Price (poor $/mAh ratio compared to other brands) I'm a heavy data user on my 8525 and I needed an extended battery for long work days away from a charger. The ElectraSpan battery provides me with an additional four hours of heavy data use; I can finally get through an entire work day without worrying about recharging late in the afternoon.
Electrically, the battery performs well. Obviously this 2000 mAh battery gives longer life than the stock 1300 mAh battery provided for the 8525 but is expensive per mAh relative to other extended batteries. For a few dollars more you might want to consider a larger 3000 mAh battery if you are not concerned with adding additional depth to the phone's dimensions.
Mechanically there are a few gripes that contribute to the 3 star rating. The case of the battery itself is solid, but the 'dome' side of the battery case does not align flush on one side. This exerts pressure on the provided phone cover and causes it to flex outward.
The biggest concern is the provided phone cover. The cover securely latches but doesn't fit well. Poor tolerances in relation to the 8525 body allow it to slide by a couple of millimeters on the top and side edges.
Given the relatively high $/mAh for this battery compared to other brands and poor manufacturing quality I can't enthusiastically recommend it as an addition to your 8525 accessories.
