Another review pointed out there is a revised back plate out there for this product, and I did try to verify, I think I have the newest one, but then again how would I know if Seidio is not willing to replace it.
I am a bit upset with the company for not offering a warranty replacement for people with defective back plates on their phones. (Especially if this is not a huge cost considering the primary cost of this unit should be the battery itself)
I have taped it on to assure it does not fall off (but for phone that costs about $250 ... that is a shame)
The battery is honestly solid, does last longer, and I would without a doubt increase this to a solid 4 - 5 star rating if the back plate were replaced by the mfg.
For those who buy, buy from Amazon, so you can return if it does not work with their hassle free return, not a third party.

I have loyally bought products that were made by Seidio, because I have always felt their products are above and beyond that of any other wireless accessory provider. I have bought a total of 8 of their batteries in the past
First off I bought this from a third party mobilecityonline (directly from their site) ... they are not a very good reseller, they are rated porly on reseller ratings. Should have checked before I ordered this. I do not recommend buying from them, Amazon.com is the only way to go, too bad they were out of stock.
Just like a reviewer mentioned on the 3000 mAh version of this battery, the back plate is not made correctly, it would not fit on my phone properly with the battery installed, one long call to Seidio later, I was told to remove the foam that is on the inside of the backplate to protect the battery from rubbing against the plastic on the case.
After removing this the battery cover did fit, but it does not fully clasp on to the back of the phone, which means there is a risk of the phone and battery compartment coming apart. I asked Seidio to replace the back plate, they refused and asked me to contact the reseller, and exchange it. Mobile City is horrible they want me to pay return shipping on a defective item, and they may still charge me a restocking fee (according to their site, and reseller rating reviews)
The battery does last a lot longer than stock, but it utterly useless without a good back plate, this is a major design flaw that Seidio needs to work out if they want satisfied customers. There a numerous posts on various forums about this issue.
Only time will tell if they back up their product and offer redesigned back plates for this phone to customers (FYI my wife's EVO battery with a proper backplate is a solid 4.5 STARS so this tells you how must I do admire this company overall)
