(More customer reviews)This dock is a great alternative to the Motorola Docking Station with the added feature of having a second battery charger incorporated into the dock base. This is particularly handy for a power hungry phone. The dock is stylish and sturdy. It is very easy to place and lift the Droid in and out of the cradle. The dock sits well on any nightstand and has plenty of power cord for long reaches. Above all, it sits the phone at a pleasing and sturdy angle to view and to navigate through the phone with ease.
The LEDs on this dock can be very annoying, however. The charging LED for the phone dock is bright blue and is located on the front of the dock. The 2nd battery charging LED toggles between Red and Green. I have found that when I plug in the dock with no second battery in the charger, the LED flickers back and forth between red and green, which is irritating while you are trying to sleep. There should probably be a switch to turn off the LEDs for easier sleeping.
PROS:
-Second battery charger provides extra value when compared to OEM dock.
-Has magnet to induce dockrunner app when placed in cradle.
-Long power cord for more flexibility in positioning.
-Phone is supported well while on cradle for ease in navigation.
-Sturdy and Stylish.
-Great overall value.
CONS:
-Both Charging LEDs are too bright and can flicker, causing annoyance.
-Included USB cable is Mini-USB to USBNOT Micro-USB to USB, so the cord cannot be used as a standalone phone USB cable.
