(More customer reviews)It arrived today. The moment I open the small package and look at it I knew it was not the quality product advertised by that beautiful photo/picture of a high-grade, well built, superb standard battery en par with the OEM battery that my HTC GSM Elfin came with. The reality is that the battery is pretty cheap made, it doesn't have the metal cast that shows here (as the OEM has too) and it is just basically a denuded cell with badly/oddly shaped plastic bend around it, all of it wrapped , in a cheap semi-faded sticker foil. Believe me it doesn't look AT ALL, like the one in that picture. And for $41 plus the shipping is not a good investment.
The battery is a bit oversized it is NOT I repeat, not, OEM sized. The cover will fit that's for sure, albeit a bit under pressure. One awkward thing that happens with the battery installed is, that it loosens the stylus out of its chamber lock, I think it s because the battery bends or distort the plastic and its original configuration making the stylus a bit loose. I already lost one of the ones my Elfin came with as when i was handing the phone it slipped out and someone stepped over it braking off the plastic tip of he stylus. And I did check with the OEM battery installed and even swinging the phone around would not loose the stylus of its chamber.
For now the promise of a longer lasting battery, that is well built by Japanese standards (It says so on the battery "Japanese cells assemble in Taiwan") doesn't hold true. As for the promised 20% more juice I'll have to wait and see. But for know it doesn't add to the value so I give it ONE STAR, the battery it's not worth the 50'ish dollars.
Resuming it is a cheaply made, substandard battery, NOT OEM sized, loosen the stylus of its chamber, if it was $19.99 maybe (and that's a long maybe), It will be worth the money. For 50 bucks is a rip off. Even if it indeed give me the 20% more power I will give it 2 stars. But by the looks to judge, I think it will not. Spend your 50 bucks on something else. And don't buy batteries from this SEIDIO Company; they are nothing like the good quality battery featured in the picture on the advertisement.
