(More customer reviews)I couldn't quite swallow the $180 price tag on this same battery from the manufacturer's website, and I was a little unsure what to think when I found the product here for such an incredible price. Was it really Dell brand? Was it refurbished? What was wrong with it, because surely this can't be right?
Well, there's nothing wrong with it, it is genuine Dell, and I might buy a second one while I still can. As always with my Prime membership, it arrived very quickly. Purchased to replace my quickly dying 6-cell battery that came with my 1.5-year old Studio 15, I really like the extra size of the 9-cell. It has, for lack of a better description, a bar across the bottom that elevates the computer. It helps keep the computer raised just so slightly to help keep it cool. I use a cooling stand on my lap anyway when I use it, but this helps raise it just enough to work even better. And, well, the laptop works just perfect while running on it. Again, why not at this price? It's Dell brand, so I won't worry about voided warranties, and hopefully the 9-cell will allow me more time than than the 6-cell while working without the AC. Definitely worth it to me!
