(More customer reviews)IMPORTANT UPDATE: I usually post all my updates at the end, but this one I consider important enough info to put at the front. My phone, which has the Innocase II still on it (read my review to understand why) was dropped and hit the ledge of a hard surface is such a way that it actually jammed my unprotected volume button. This could have potential been a $500 replacement but thankfully Verizon was nice enough to overlook the obvious damage and issue me my warranty and replace it for free. The lesson learned, my decision to stick with the Innocase II merely because I already have it and didn't want to spend the extra money to get the active case could have cost me $500, it would have if I was out of warranty. This damage to the volume button could not have happened with my wifes phone, because the Active case protects the volume button. You have now been warned.

I purchase this Seidio Innocase Active Case for my wife because I don't want her to have to worry too much about damaging her phone, as she's got a 5 month old to worry about. Also, we both like the white case which helps us tell the difference from my phone and hers.
We both have Droid Incredibles. I protect mine with the Seidio Innocase II Surface Case for HTC Droid Incredible (Black) which I really like and feel it also deserves 5 stars. But this active case offers more protection as it is a little thicker. We both actually prefer the Active case over the Innocase. Here's the breakdown on this case:
PROS:
1) Rubberized undercase surrounded by a tough plastic case
2) Adds only 2.2 milimeters
3) Actually covers some buttons which helps pretects them
4) Very attractive design
5) Gives the Droid Incredible a big enough grip to use one handedly
6) Case does not budge or make creaking noises
CONS:
7) Sedio accosories don't work with case
PROS EXPLAINED:
1) Rubberized undercase surrounded by a tough plastic case
The case is actually two cases in one. First is thin rubberized black case that goes around the phone with a perfecct fit. The rubber is soft but sturdy enough to funciton. I really like the idea of having rubber between objects such as the ground and the phone. The Innocase II surface does not have this. Next the skeleton plastic from clips over the rubber with a very snug fit. This alows for some really good protection for your droid incredible.
2) Adds only 2.2 milimeters
The case is only 2.2 milimeters thick. True the Innocase II is only 1mm thick, But I actually prefer the larger 2.2mm case. Why? Well, in my opinion, the Droid Incredible's body is actually to small to begin with. It just doesn't feel right in the hand without a case. The Innocase II feels alot better in the hand than the naked phone and the Active case feels superb. I think 2.2 mm is spot on.
3) Actually covers some buttons which helps pretects them
The rubber layer of the case actually covers the volume and power button. YOU CAN STILL PRESS THEM. The rubber case has rubber buttons that go over these buttons to allow the user to press easily from the exterior of the case. This concerned me at first that it may make it difficult to press the buttons now. But I soon found it wasn't a problem at all. It may take 5 to 10 percent more pressure, but after pressing them few times, it felt easy enough to my wife and I. I am happy with the design.
4) Very attractive design
The design looks great. I whish the Innocase II looked so good. The two tone coloring just stands out. I am jealous of my wife's phone.
5) Gives the Droid Incredible a big enough grip to use one handedly
A big problem with alot of touch screen phones, including the Droid Incredible is that when you place the phone on a surface such as a table, and use it with one hand, it's not as responsive as it is when holding it with your other hand while using it. Also, when you are holding the phone with no case, sometimes it will sense the hand you are holding it with from the sides causing the response to be skrewed up when you try to do something. So you had to hold the phone and hold it just right to get the best responses. Well the Innocase II helped both these issues, probably by about 70%. The active case solves both these issues by around 90%. Love it. My wife needs the ability to put the phone on a surface and used it with full responsiveness with one hand. This case is just awesome in this area.
6) Case does not budge or make creaking noises
The Innocase II case while great, does tend to make creaking noises as your hand applies different pressure to it. This is mosly due to the fact that there is some give in the case. This Active case however, does not creak. It feels incredibly solid. Very nice.
CONS EXPLAINED:
7) Sedio accosories don't work with case (Check out UPDATE below, this may no longer be a issue)
Given a choice between the Innocase Active and the Innocase II, I really would prefer the Active case. The only reason why I don't use the Innocase Active is because all of Sedio's accsories only work with the Innocase II surface such as the holster. I need to use such accessories so I stick with the Innocase II. My wife would never where her phone on her belt, and wouldn't use any other accossories, thus she gets the way awesome Active. So it really comes down to whether or not you plan to use seidio accosories or not.
If you only need plan to use a car holder, Bracketron products work with either case. I use this setup; Bracketron UFM-100-BX Nav-Mat GPS Friction Dash Pad [Amazon Frustration-Free Packaging], Bracketron PHM-201-BL Mobile Device Vent Mount Kit, Rotating Swivel Tightening Mount. It works very well. However, the Mobile Device Vent Mount Kit blocks the electrical port on the phone. I just drilled my own custom hole to fix this.
I am planning to use the Seidio rugged holster and skeleton that works with the innocase. If I find I don't use this much, I'm switching to the active case. But I am gonna try it out for a while. I'll keep you updated.
SUMMARY:
We are both very happy with the case and would highly reccomend it as long as you don't plan to use the Seidio Holster.
UPDATE:
I found out that the active case does have a seidio holster. Dang. I already ordered the rugged holster. I am going to try out the rugged hoster with the skeleton and see how much I like it. The pros about the rugged skeleton is that when the skeleton is attached it covers all ports so nothing gets in. Pretty much the ultimate protection. We'll see how much I even ever attach the skeleton. I'll keep you posted.
UPDATE:
Received the rugged case with holster, which only works with the innocase II case. It's very bulky. Fits very well, but you only really need it if you risk dropping your phone more than 5 feet, perhaps if you rock climb a lot, with your cell phone, it may survive a good 20 + foot drop in the rugged case. While the rugged case is great for what it is, it is not what I wanted. However I still kept the rugged case and have actually sown the skeleton piece to an ipod arm band (because ipod case part didn't really work how I wanted it to). Now I have a jogging arm band for my phone. Yippy.
So to sum this review up, if I had to do it all over again, I would have picked the Seidio Active case for my phone as well as my wife's. But for me now, with my current budget, it's not worth another $30+ to change cases. At least my wife is very happy, that's what's most important anyways! If you haven't bought either yet, get the Active case.
