(More customer reviews)Purchased this to replace the default battery in my wife's T-Mobile myTouch 3G and was about 2x as impressed with the battery life than I expected to be after reading some of the less glowing reviews.
The battery seems to charge inordinately fast (I don't know why) and lasts us 3 days now instead of 1 day like the originally battery did.
I would absolutely recommend this to someone having problems with the battery life in their myTouch 3G, I would also make the following suggestions *IF* you don't mind disabling some stuff to save battery:
* Disable 3G antenna support. This uses a lot of battery and if you are not a data junkie, you can save big here. If you are a data nut, then leave it on.
* Disable background syncing for Gmail/Contacts/etc. This seems to wake the phone up a lot, we got a few hours of battery life back from turning this off, and all it requires is that you hit "Refresh" when you open the particular app.
* Disable GPS. This is a bit of a nobrainer, but keep this off until you need it, it uses a lot of bat.
* Install the app "Spare Parts", it has some excellent battery-usage reporting detail screens to see what is zapping your energy.
* Turn the screen brightness down to a level you think looks acceptable.
