(More customer reviews)When it comes to protecting my phone it's all or nothing. This case only protects the sides and the back. If you hold the phone upright on a flat table the bottom of the phone actually touches the table, same goes for the top. Look at the pictures closely and you'll see what I mean. I'd give it a 3, possibly a 4, if it at least protected the corners at the top and bottom but it does not. Who wants only part of their phone to be protected? Why would they make a case like this? It completely protects the back of the phone but seeing as it's a replacement back cover that comes with the extended battery I'm not too concerned about protecting it. I'd definitely want to protect the stock original back plate that came with the phone but I'm obliviously no longer using it. A bumper, like the one the iPhone 4 has, would have been far better than this case.
In Seidio's defense, the product description only says "protection to the sides and back of your phone" and makes no mention of protecting the top and bottom. Also, as I said before, if you look closely at the pictures you can kind of tell the sides don't go past the bottom/top of the phone to give it a little protection.
So why did I order this product if I knew all this beforehand?
Because I love all the Seidio products I have purchased in the past (Innocase II Surface, Multi-Function Battery Charger, 3500mAh Extended Battery), they have never let me down and the quality of their products is great. With all that in mind, I guess I hoped that once I saw it in person and held it in my hand I would see that it's good enough, unfortunately it is not. This is the first time they have disappointed me. It seems this is a rare occasion where Seidio made a bad product.
Do yourself a huge favor and do not waste your money on this product. I'm going to buy a gel case and cut out the back, which will be far, far better than this.
